MoonYeah has accepted to answer our questions and reveal his secrets to our choc reporter, Sarah!
- Hello MoonYeah! Can you tell us more about you?
Hi Sarah!
I’m MoonYeah, a graphic designer working at Feerik since few years.
I essentially work on Eredan and Baclash but sometimes I do little work on other projects too.
- The character Valentyne is very pretty! How did you come to draw her?
Originally, we wanted to change the look of an Eredan’s character. At first I proposed something really kitsch, like a magical girl! But we decided to adjust in and give her a more modern look!
- Kitsch ? how kitsch ?
You can still see it on the character…very “plasticky” shiny elements on her dress, the fuchsia rose color, the visor on her helmet…
- And technically speaking, how does it work?
Hmm I don’t know how to explain it. I’ve been drawing since so long! I use the softwear ClipstudioPaint and I draw with a Cintiq. It’ a graphics tablet on which you can see the screen and what you are drawing. It’s very practical.
- How do you do these beautiful and magical light effects?
I don’t use layer’s effects at all… Sometimes I tinker with a brush to slightly “damage” my flat tints and give texture to a metallic element for example. And finally I draw over it again to rework on the reflections and have clearer lines.
Have a nice week end on OhMyDollz!
