[OhMyLoft] New theme : Countryside in the old days

I come back from two weeks at my grandparent’s place who live in the countryside, in a small village far from civilization. They are farmers and have a field about fifteen hectares big, a inheritance from my great-grandfather.
It wasn’t my dream holidays. The house had no electricity,  neither bathroom nor toilets, we washed ourselves in a basin and had a bedpan to pee. My grandfather told me that peasantry represented 80% of the French society at the 18th century.
I spent most of my time working. Yes, really, I’m not joking, but it was for a good cause. I had to help my grandpa in his daily tasks such as getting water from the well,  growing his vegetable garden, taking out the cattle, milking the cows. I haven’t been an easy pupil, but I’ve tried to give my best. Thanks to technological progress, the invention of numerous machines spared ourselves some hard work, but my grandpa keeps on doing most of his with his hands and still uses equipment from the old days, like a plow pulled by two horses or steers.
I can only imagine the life of farmers then. What I’m sure about  is that in the past, life was way harder than today.

For this theme, no matter the country or continent, create a daily life scenery of  farmers in the old days

Join the theme “Countryside in the old days!” by registering your loft from Tuesday, 2nd August at 10 am.
Registrations will close Monday, 8th August at 10 am, so take your time to prepare your creation!

To register for this loft show you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Store Requirements:
– Use at least 2 elements from the Pet shop 
– Use at least 1 element from the Garden shop 

•  Atmosphere Requirements:
– A scene from a farmer’s daily life
– At least 1 livestock animal OR 1 farm animal
– At least 1 basic kitchen tool

•  Prohibited:
– The use of electricity (day and night scene accepted)
– New technology (electric machine, tractor, phone, television etc.)
– More than 3 characters
– Fantasy elements
– Decors around the loft that are outside the scene
– Gifts between friends,  playtem gifts and those of the gazette
– Ready-made lofts / dollz *

* WARNING: will be considered as “ready-made” dressed models and non-customized lofts. You must customize your Quest models to at least 50% and  not use ready-made items sets for your loft.
