As his brother Hades rules the underworld, Poseidon reign over the oceans. However, he has long been trying to acquire the right to rule over the earth, before giving up.

It’is said that Poseidon is the father of the first ponies: the first one appeared in a talent competition he indulged with his niece Athena, however, this story has never been verified and remains for many a mere myth.
